3-year grant extensions for sports injury prevention research announced

The Oslo Sports Trauma Research Center (OSTRC) has recently received grants from the Norwegian Eastern Health Corporate and the Royal Norwegian Ministry of Culture.
The Royal Norwegian Ministry of Culture has announced that it will continue its support with 2 mill NOK annually for a new three-year period from 2005 through 2007. The Norwegian Eastern Health Corporate will provide an annual grant of 2.5 mill NOK towards further development of the research center for three years. The OSTRC has also been awarded as a Center of excellence by the Norwegian Eastern Health Corporate. These grants come in addition to financial support of about 1.2 mill NOK for 2005 from Pfizer AS, Norsk Tipping AS/Norwegian Olympic Committee & Confederation of Sport, and project grants, bringing the total budget for 2005 to about 5.7 mill NOK.
