Description
Background: The number of surgical and medical quality registers are increasing. Several successful orthopedic registries are established, and several have led to improved treatment. In order for a quality register to be successful, we are dependent on high-quality data.
Aim: We aim to investigate the completeness of the data within a surgical or a medical health quality register.
Methods: We performed a systematic literature search and included articles that presented patient response rates on patient-reported outcome measures in either register studies or larger cohort studies.
Implications: The results from this project will be useful in establishing new quality registries, and will contribute to improved data quality in existing registries.
