Marc Strauss
MD PhD candidateCV
Marc Jacob Strauss is a PhD student, studying anatomy, tensile properties and outcome of the quadriceps tendon in addition to evaluating biomechanical strength of fixation devices currently used in ACL surgery. In 2018/19, as part of his PhD, Marc did a fellowship at the Steadman Philippon Research Institute in Vail, Colorado working on his projects.
Marc studied medicine at the University of Southern Denmark, Odense, with a degree from 2002. After finishing his orthopedic training in Denmark, Marc continued with a sub-specialization in Orthopedic Sports Medicine with professor Martin Lind in Aarhus Denmark. In 2012 he completed a one-year clinical fellowship in Sports Medicine with professor Lars Engebretsen. He holds an IOC Diploma of Sports Medicine.
Marc is employed at Oslo University Hospital, Ullevål, department of orthopedic surgery, Olympiatoppen/Olympic Training Center, and the Norwegian Ski Federation.
