Tonje Wåle Flørenes

Tonje Wåle Flørenes, MD, was educated at the University of Lund in the south of Sweden. She  defended  her PhD-thesis "Injury Surveillance in World Cup skiing and snowboarding" in November 2010 at the University of Oslo. The PhD project was part of the FIS Injury Surveillance System and focused on registering and describing injuries among elite skiers and snowboarders.    

Tonje has also been a team doctor for the Norwegian women soccer team 2007-08, and was one of the doctors in the Norwegian Olympic team during the Olympic Games in Beijing 2008, Vancouver 2010 and London 2012.

Tonje is now working at the department of Physical medicine and Rehabilitation at Haukeland University Hospital in Bergen (West Norway).
