Gilbert Moatshe er MD PhD og tilknyttet Senter for i idrettsskadeforskning med prosjektet ”Kneluksasjoner: Epidemiologi, biomekanikk og resultater ved kirurgisk behandling”. Dette og flere av prosjektene til Gilbert gjennomføres på Oslo Universitetssykehus og Steadman Philippon Research Institute med Lars Engebretsen og Rob LaPrade som veiledere.
Gilbert er spesialist i ortopedisk kirurgi ved Universitetet i Oslo og jobber til daglig som ortoped på Artroskopiseksjonen på Oslo Universitetssykehus – Ullevål.
